On the Double Ninth Day
独在异乡为异客， All alone in a foreign land.
每逢佳节倍思亲。 I am twice as homesick on this day.
遥知兄弟登高处， When brothers carry dogwood up the mountains,
遍插茱萸少一人。 Each of them has a branch- and my branch missing.
